BORUSSIA/MUNICH, Feb. 19 (UPI) — How to recreate the uniform worn by Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp in the Bundesliga during the club’s title run?
Here are six tips.
| Source: ESPN.comThe Borussia team has worn its traditional black and white jersey since its formation in 1991.
But as a club that plays in the upper echelons of German football, the Bundesliga is also a place where fans and players alike have their own designs.
“We are always looking for new and creative solutions,” Borussia sporting director Michael Zorc said in a statement to the German newspaper Bild.
“We are especially looking for a jersey that is a reflection of our supporters’ enthusiasm.”
The Dortmund team wore the jersey during a 1-1 draw against Borussia Monchengladbach in March 2016, but fans started to notice a few changes after the game.
Fans wore the same jersey on the pitch for every match.
Then, in November, the club announced a new jersey, featuring a different shade of red for the home game against Schalke, which was played in a blue jersey.
The new kit also featured a red and white stripes on the sleeves.
It wasn’t the first time the club had changed its jersey.
The same year, the team also had a different color scheme for its home match against Dortmund’s Bundesliga rival Bayern Munich, which came in a purple jersey.
However, the biggest change has been the team’s home kit.
The team had previously worn white kits and white shorts during its matches.
The first season in the league was dominated by Dortmund, who finished with a record of 21-7-5.
The club’s next three seasons saw them win the league four times in a row and play in the Champions League, which is a semi-final-stage tie-breaker.
They also won the Bundesliga title in 2016 and 2017, and the Bundesliga in 2018.
However a combination of injuries and the departure of coach Jürgen Klopp in 2018 ended any hopes of a return to the top.
